10 Stealth Health Tips

The interwebz are in no short-supply when it comes to self-help tips and fitness facts. The truth of the matter is many people already know what’s best for their bodies instinctually without the help of a paid dietitian or costly trainer.

For most of us Americans the problem of poor health comes down to an imbalance in a very simple ratio:   Amount of Caloric Intake or Food Eaten vs. Energy Spent or Activity Level. Recent studies has shown inactivity to be a greater concern for one’s health than the type of food eaten. Other studies have proven that eating a meal of poor nutritional value can in a sense be “canceled-out” by eating a subsequent healthy meal.

Mother always did say to eat your veggies.

Below are some quick tidbits of  Stealth Health advice.

1. DRINK a cup of green-tea in the morning.

2. WALK for 30 minutes a day.

3. QUIT smoking.

4. DRINK a glass of wine every evening. (min. drinking age: 21 yrs old)

5. MEDITATE for five minutes a day (close your eyes in a quiet room and practice deep breathing).

6. TALK to a friend (whether in person on the phone or via e-mail) everyday.

7. EAT fish twice a week.

8. TAKE a multivitamin with mineral (only if you are not eating well already).

9. EAT whole natural foods rather than boxed or processed foods (shop around the perimeter of the store, avoid the aisles).

10. GET a good night’s sleep (7-9 is still the norm).
