Never without a camera, ISIS captured their onslaught of the Mosul Museum on video. The footage shows masked men toppling over statues from the historical collection while a subsequent group of men finish the job by smashing the historical pieces to bits with sledge-hammers.
The lost archaeological treasures were some of the best preserved art from the Assyrian Empire of 3,000 years ago.
