By now you have likely seen the photo above posted to Instagram by Michael Buble. Notice the use of hashtags like #myhumps #babygotback #hungryshorts, and #onlyinmiami. This photo was liked over 31,000 times, and guess what? The young woman in the background he is referencing is not his Wife! This did take place while on vacation with his wife Luisana Lopilato. In fact, his wife took the photo.
Many of buble’s fans were outraged by the photo, and the hashtags used to reference it. Personally, I don’t see the big deal, and would likely do the same thing, and even send my wife a text about it. He is right, in Miami you can see Booty nearly every where you go.
Update:
According to US Weekly, Michael Buble issued a statement of apology today April 17th, 2015 stating his comments were not meant to be hurtful.
“I do not court controversy, but I realize that a photo that was meant to be complimentary and lighthearted has turned into a questionable issue,” he said. “It hurts me deeply that anyone would think that I would disrespect women or be insulting to any human being . . .I regret that there are people out there who found the photo offensive. That was not and is not my intention. Women are to be celebrated, loved, respected, honored and revered. I’ve spent my life believing that and will continue to do so.”
It amazes me how people get with everything celebrities do, this is So Not a Big Deal, yet nearly every media outlet has wrote about it, YES; including Gossipera.com. After all it is news, but give the guy a break!
