A high-school teacher from Cypress Bay, Florida was given a slap on the wrist for her derogatory comments she leveled at one of her students.
Allegedly Maria Valdes, the student’s French teacher called her student a “rag-head Taliban”. Due to union contracts she can not be punished more than a five day suspension for her bigoted actions.
Youseff Wardani, the boys father, wants more than just that.
“I want her to be fired or suspended for one year without pay.” Wardani said.
Deyab-Houssein, the 14 year old son of Youseff says of his teacher:
“I am extremely disappointed with her and I guess you could say sad that people would still think like that to this day.”
