Harrison Ford is said to be “battered” but “OK” after a plane crash that left him seriously injured on Thursday March 5.
Ford, and avid pilot, was flying a vintage WW II Ryan ST3KR at the time of the crash. The plane had apparently lost engine power while flying over a California golf-course.
Fortunately for the long-time actor, doctors play golf on their off-time and several were near the crash-landing at the 8th tee.
Ford, famous for his high-adventure roles of Han Solo and Indiana Jones can be heard saying “Engine failure . . . immediate return.” shortly after taking off from a Santa Monica airport.
The 72 year old was described by his son in a recent tweet as being a “strong man”.
Mr. Ford is expected to make a quick recovery.
