According to the findings of a study by researchers from ETH Zurich; Bacon might actually have the ability to prolong your life.
Bacon is full of Niacin, which is commonly referred to as Vitamin B3 which has been associated with a longer life span. The theory was tested by feeding roundworms a significant dosage of Niacin which resulted in one-tenth longer life than roundworms without the Niacin.
Niacin can also be found in other foods, an spices like paprika, peanuts, sun-dried tomatoes, and others.
The good news is, bacon has Niacin, so enjoy life, and eat up; apparently it’s actually healthy.
Be cautious of the fat, and cholesterol though. Only the good stuff was mentioned in the studies findings.
