Rapper Nelly Arrested on Drug Possession Charges In Tennessee

The 40-year-old Nelly, real name Cornell Haynes, was charged with felony possession of drugs, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rapper Nelly found himself in jail Saturday after Tennessee state troopers found pot and crystal meth on his bus, according to authorities.

Tennessee State Troopers pulled over the singer’s motor coach at approximately 9:20 A.M. in Putnam County for failing to display inspection stickers

The Tennessee State Troopers initially  smelled marijuana, and then proceeded to search the bus at which time they found a small plastic baggie containing crystal meth, pot and drug paraphernalia, the Chattanooga Times Free Press reported.

After a lengthy inspection of the vehicle;  100 Ziploc bags commonly used to package drugs and a cache of guns including a gold-plated 50-caliber Desert Eagle pistol, a 45-caliber Taurus pistol, and a 500-magnum Smith and Wesson were also found.
