| The University of South Carolina was locked down Thursday afternoon following reports of a campus shooting. Officials at the Columbia campus warned students to get to safety and obey any further directions via a campus alert sent around 1:20pm. The shooting reportedly occurred near the college´s Arnold School of Public Health. A perimeter was set up around the public health building, were police carrying AR-15s and wearing SWAT gear ushered students out and across the street.
