Robin Thicke & co-conspirator Pharrell were found guilty of being unoriginal in a case leveled against them by the Marvin Gaye family.
Marvin Gaye, the late R&B hit maker’s song “Got to Give it Up” and Thicke & Pharrell’s song “Blurred Lines” were found to be far too close to one another in sound for Thicke & Pharrell to not cough up some $7 million dollars in damages to the Gaye family.
Nona, Marvin’s daughter stated to the press “Right now I feel free from Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke’s chains, and what they tried to keep on us and the lies that were told.”
