Student gunman pulls semi-pistol out of his backpack and empties magazine on five classmates in California high school quad, killing one, before shooting himself in the head on his 16th birthday

- Suspect described as 16-year-old Asian male in dark clothing was taken into custody and was being treated for self-inflicted gunshot would to the head
- Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva says the sole suspect was found on campus among his victims and hospitalized in grave condition
- A 16-year-old was shot to death; surviving victims were described as two girls, ages 14 and 15, and two boys, both aged 14
- Officers seized .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol that had no rounds left in it
- Lockdown lifted at all schools in surrounding area after suspect’s capture
- Vigil for those hurt in the shooting will take place in Central Park in Santa Clarita at 7pm Sunday
